Hope as a Spanish Flamingo Princess, Halloween 2012
We had a few guests over for Halloween: Teresa, Barb & Ken, Luke & Conor, Stuart & JoJo (oh, yeah, and Mike stopped by….).
After dinner, Teresa and Mom set up on the front porch and handed out candy, while the rest of the gang headed out into the night.
Our neighborhood was a little bit quiet, but after about an hour of trick-or-treating, the kids brought in quite a load.
Well, we had a great summer, a bit hot of course, and it’s still going. Two big road trips and lot’s of BBQ’s and fun.

Kane loves his job, a bit challenging at times, but awesome all the same: he especially loves the hours, as he gets off at 3pm and usually has time to pick up Hope and Peyton from school. Lisa likes Kane’s hours too, as he is now available to help out a bit more (as if!). Anyhoo, we are looking forward to Halloween, will decorate soon, and are planning some real family time with Lisa’s family this holiday season. Oh, yeah, and Hope is learning to swim!

On our road trip, we visited Oma Gisi and Opa Gary:
We almost didn’t go, as Papa Ken was having surgery, but as his recovery went well, we decided to continue with our plans.
We drove to Pasadena on the day after Independence Day, and had a great visit with Papa Gale and Grandma Cindy. Hope got to experiment—and climb, jump and crawl around—at the Children’s Science Museum near the Rose Bowl. That night we went out for teppanyaki.
The following day, Saturday, Lisa, Hope and Kane visited Disneyland and California Adventure. We had an awesome day, it was busy, but not too busy, and we got to ride most of the kiddie rides. Hope fell asleep in the stroller for about two hours, and then got her second wind.
